If intelligence is a winding road that leads to truth, ego is a speeding car with no brakes. Driver or passenger, both are doomed.

the ego exists so that the spirit may survive in a physical body. the ego is a survival mechanism for perpetuating spiritual experience here on Earth. the spirit could not have physical experience without ego, and likewise there would be no need for ego to exist without the spirit. thus, it can be said that ego and spirit are interdependent upon one another for their existence just like everything...
Nuclear warheads are also survival mechanisms. Bombs, like egos, can be dangerous to others- or to us.
If egos are part of the existential package, then should we necessarily always be using it? Or, like atomic warfare, do we have it so that we don't have to use it? What then of moderation?
The question is, do we really feel the safest while clinging to our guns, bombs, and egos? Or, could a more peaceful state of existence be reached in doing away with them?
